Joel Ortner is a Senior Technology Product Manager for Wolters Kluwer Accounting and Audit Solutions. She has been with Wolters Kluwer since 2003 working on CCH® ProSystem fx® Engagement and CCH®ProSystem fx® Knowledge Coach. Prior to developing software, Joel spent over 6 years in public accounting. She worked at McGladrey & Pullen in Minneapolis, as well as a smaller, local firm.
Byron is known nationally as an industry thought leader and a multi-year recipient of the CPA Practice Advisor’s 40 under 40 awards. Byron has been actively involved on a national level with the American Institute of CPA’s, has earned the Certified Information Technology Professional credential in 2006, is currently a member of AICPA Council, PCPS Executive Committee, and was previously a member of the Information Management and Technology Assurance Executive Committee.
