How holidays and absences are handled for your Dedicated Accountant

Your Dedicated Accountant (DA) is based in the Philippines, where the approach to public holiday announcements can differ from what many U.S.-based orgs are used to. While the U.S. typically publishes a fixed list of federal holidays for the year, certain Philippine public holidays may be declared—or officially confirmed—closer to the actual date.

How Holiday Observance Works

Philippine Public Holidays
Your DA observes official Philippine public holidays. If a holiday falls on a standard workday, it will generally be treated as a non-working day unless otherwise agreed upon during scoping. Your DA will proactively notify you in advance and confirm any adjustments needed to meet key deadlines.

Short-Notice Announcements
Some Philippine holidays are declared with little advance warning. Your DA will flag these as soon as they’re announced and coordinate with you to minimize any disruption.


Time-Off Policies

Planned Time Off

  • Your DA will give at least two weeks’ notice for any planned PTO.

  • They will work with you to prioritize deliverables and complete critical tasks before their leave begins.

  • Any agreed changes to scope or timelines will be documented for clarity.

Unexpected Absences

  • If your DA is unexpectedly unavailable due to illness or an emergency, your Customer Success Specialist (CSS) will notify you as soon as possible.

  • While your DA is out, your CSS will help coordinate any urgent needs and keep you informed on next steps.


Support & Coverage During Absences

While your DA is away—whether for a holiday, planned PTO, or an emergency—your CSS remains your main point of contact.

  • The CSS can assist with communication, light troubleshooting, and coordination of urgent priorities.

  • If a task cannot be completed until your DA returns, your CSS will provide a clear timeline so you can plan accordingly.
