Botkeeper Plans & Licensing
Platform licensing and plans explained
What we offer—and why it works this way
Botkeeper was built around a simple idea: technology should handle the repetitive work, and people should step in only where expertise moves the needle. That’s why we offer a powerful platform to automate bookkeeping across your client base—and give you the option to layer in a dedicated resource when and where it makes sense.
The way we package and price reflects that same approach: use the tech as your foundation, add support only when needed, and scale both on your terms.
At the heart of our offering is a robust technological foundation designed to revolutionize how you manage bookkeeping for your clients. But we understand that every firm and client is unique, which is why we've created a flexible structure that allows you to build the perfect solution for your needs.
Our Approach: Tech First, Human Touch When It Counts
The Tech: Licensing structure
- Each client you support through Botkeeper requires its own license. These appear as Infinite licenses in your subscription and are priced at $69 per entity.
- Each license includes access to Smart Connect, GL Auto, Auto Bank Recs, Firm Insights, and more! These features make up the core platform and are included with every Infinite license. Read up on the details on our platform overview page.
- Licenses are tied to your agreement and reflect the number of entities/clients you’ve committed to supporting through the platform. Terms and billing cadence are outlined in your contract.

The Team: Layering on services
When your team needs extra hands—or you’re looking to offload entire segments of client work—Botkeeper’s service tiers give you the option to add trained bookkeeping resources who operate like an extension of your firm. These professionals support your clients directly, inside the systems you already use, and follow your team’s lead.
- Each resource is scoped to your needs and assigned based on the level of support you want. Our model is flexible by design: you can assign help to onboarding, cleanup, write-up, or coverage during peak periods.
- We offer four service tiers—Essentials, Core, Professional, and Premium—each designed to meet different levels of complexity and client demands. You can view a detailed breakdown of each on our Services Overview page.
- Each tier is billed as a flat monthly rate per assigned resource. A minimum of 10 active Infinite licenses is required to activate services, and your Botkeeper team will help you scope the right setup based on your goals.
- When you purchase Dedicated Accountant services, any client the DA will support must be scoped in the Botkeeper platform—even if you don’t plan to use the platform in entirety for that client’s bookkeeping workflows. This step ensures we can accurately track license usage and maintain visibility into which clients your Dedicated resource is assigned to. Without it, there’s a risk of overextension, and we won’t be able to support or staff appropriately.
This flexible, tiered services model ensures you get exactly the support your firm needs—no more, no less. You decide when and how to scale resources alongside your Botkeeper platform, keeping control of your capacity and your client experience every step of the way.
