Botkeeper keeps getting better. Here are the updates we're releasing as of April 30th, 2025.

Firm Insights (Learn More)

  • Take Action Cards
    New Take Action cards allow you to drill down into the actions that need to be taken across Work, Accounts, Transactions, Bank Recs, Exceptions, and Automations. Each clickable card surfaces the specific issues client-by-client, with descriptive tags you can use to learn where you need to take action. You can then click the client line item to bring you to the appropriate area to resolve the issue. Cards can be filtered by All or My Stuff
  • New data points and columns
    Tables have been updated to include new data points and columns for Clients, Accounts, and Team Performance tabs.
  • New Automation tab
    New Automation tab includes data about each client's automation, including areas that require action and general automation stats.

Client & User Management (Learn More)

  • Add Client Flow Refined
    Upon successful connection of a new client's GL in the Add Client flow, you'll see the bank and credit card accounts we ingested from the GL, followed by your automation options for each account listed (you can mix and match sources as needed):

    • Smart Connect: You can use this when the institution is supported by Botkeeper, and you or your clients can connect to it. Best for accounts with a high volume of transactions needing to be matched. When supported, you can have bank statements fetched automatically.

    • GL Automation: You should use this when you are unable or unwilling to connect the account directly to Botkeeper via Smart Connect, or if you're importing transactions into the GL via CSV file.

Work

  • Upcoming Tasks in the Tasks Table
    Users can now filter for upcoming tasks, as well as click them to edit details. Upcoming tasks will only show if the filter for Status is set to All Tasks or Upcoming.

Transaction Manager (Learn More)

  • Edit Journal Entries in Transaction Manager
    Users can now edit existing journal entires that have been created via QBO, Xero or JE Automation (loan splits). All updates will be synced back to the GL immediately and can be viewed if opening up the journal entry in the GL directly.

Activity Hub (Learn More)

  • Filter Improvements
    The Activity Hub filters have been updated to provide more refined results. Activity Type now combines Document Upload and Document Move into one activity called Documents. 

Documents

  • Creating sub-folders within system-generated folders  (Infinite only)
    Users can now create subfolders in system generated folders, excluding the Bank Statements system folder.
