How do I edit tasks?
Certain task details are editable by the task creator, even after the task has been created.
To edit the details of tasks that are To-Do, Upcoming, or In Progress status (whether independent of or part of a Project)
Option 1: Edit the field in the task table
Most task details you need to edit after creating your task can be edited right in the task table (except task instructions—if you need to edit these, use Option 2).
- Locate the task in the task table.
- Click the drop-down for the field you wish to edit.
- Make the desired change.
Option 2: Open the task
If you need to edit task instructions, this is the method you'll need to use.
- Navigate to Work.
- Click the task you wish to edit.
- Proceed to make the desired changes.
⚠️ NOTE! The Edit Task window for Upcoming Tasks has a slightly different appearance from the others:

Is there anything I can't edit?
The following items associated to a task cannot be edited:
- Client - If you've accidentally associated a task with the wrong client, you'll need to delete the task and recreate it for the correct client.
- Comments from others - You can only delete or edit your own comments.
- Requester - Users creating the task are always listed as the requester. If it's important for the task to have come from a specific user, that user will need to log in and create the task themselves.
- Task log - The log is immutable.
