How do I add a new account to my clients’ chart of accounts in Botkeeper?

At this time it is not possible to create a new account for your clients’ chart of accounts directly in Botkeeper. You can take one of the following steps to ensure a new account is created:

At this time it is not possible to create a new account for your clients’ chart of accounts directly in Botkeeper.  You can take one of the following steps to ensure a new account is created:

  • Use the Comment feature* on the transaction you are trying to create the new account for to ask your accountant to create the new account on your behalf
  • Log into your clients’ general ledger and take the respective steps to get the account created 

Once it has been confirmed the account is created, make sure to refresh your Botkeeper session.  This will ensure you can see the new account within the Category drop down list of the Open Inquiries tab in the Transaction Manager module.
