Here are the steps you'll need to take to create a project from a project template.
Note: you will need to be a Partner Admin or Partner Ops role to create a Project from a Project Template.
To create a Project from a Project Template take the following steps:
- Navigate to Work module from the partner portal or client portal view.
- Click the Projects tab.
- Click the Project Templates button.
- Find the Project Template.
- Click the Project Template name.
- Click the Add To Client button.
- In the Project Details section of the window complete the following fields:
- Client - select from the drop-down list
- Primary Point of Contact - will default in from the point of contact assigned during the scoping process for this client; if it does not default in, then you can select it from the drop-down list
- Recurrence - select from the drop-down list
- Monthly - will recur on a monthly basis; note the following fields will need to be completed if you opt for this recurrence:
- When should this project start? - either enter the date in the specified format or use the date picker to select the date you wish the project start date
- Project Recurrence Start Day - will default in with Monthly on the 1st
- Project Recurrence Due Day - select from the drop down list
- Monthly on the 5th or the next business day
- Monthly on the 10th or the next business day
- Monthly on the 15th or the next business day
- Last business day of each month
- Select Custom Date - if this date is selected you will be presented with a drop down list of days of the month for you to choose from; note this date will be used each month and cannot fluctuate
- Does not recur - will be a one time project that does not recur in the future; note the following fields will need to be completed if you opt for this recurrence:
- Start Date - either enter the date in the specified format or use the date picker to select the date you wish the project to start
- End Date - either enter the date in the specified format or use the date picker to select the date you wish the project to end
- Monthly - will recur on a monthly basis; note the following fields will need to be completed if you opt for this recurrence:
- Project Description - enter details regarding this project for your team to reference
- In the Product Template portion of the window
- Click the Add Details button; for anything requesting additional information
- A menu will appear on the right side of the window for you to populate the requested information
- Click the Launch button in the lower right corner of the window
Congratulations, your project will now appear in the Projects window for your chosen client!
