Botkeeper observes and complies with all federal laws in the United States pertaining to data security and use.
Data and security laws have specific provisions around notification obligations in the event of a breach. For this reason, you may not submit any content that contains information subject to any of the following:
- Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HiTECH)
- Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA)
- Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
- GDPR
- Any other data which is considered to be sensitive or which could give rise to notification obligations under data breach notification laws.
We offer Botkeeper to clients who are primarily in the United States. Botkeeper is hosted in the United States and is governed by United States law. Please be aware that your personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the Philippines, where Botkeeper maintains an office, and in the United States where our servers are located and our central database is operated. The data protection and other laws of the United States and other countries might not be as comprehensive as those in your country. As a U.S.-based company serving U.S.-based firms, Botkeeper is not GDPR-compliant.
What is the GDPR?
