Personal Profile & Notifications/Preferences

Set up and manage your personal profile, notification, and other settings.

In the upper right corner of the Botkeeper platform, you'll see a series of five icons that represent functions you might want to access from wherever you might be: Quick Action, Notifications, Settings and Profile.

  • Quick Action: Represented by a plus symbol, the button provides easy access to Add Client, Invite User, Create Task, Add Connection, and Request Connection functionality from anywhere in the platform. Note that Add Connection and Request Connection will only be available when a client has been selected.
  • Notification Alerts - Represented by a bell, click here to access in-app messages (unread messages, and all messages)
  • Settings: Represented by a gear, clicking here provides access to your Notification Settings, Portal Settings, User Permissions, and Automation Settings (automation settings will only become active when a client has been selected).
  • Profile: Represented by the profile photo or illustration you've chosen (shown above as a ladybug), this provides access to your profile and allows you to Logout.

Working with your Notification Settings

Set your notifications preferences as seen below, with options to receive in-app, email, or digest (daily / weekly). Please note notifications are set at the user level. Notifications that have a digest option will will default to the Daily Digest option, if a digest option hasn’t already been selected. Users can change this at any time in their Notification Settings. Be sure to click Save Changes in the lower right when you've completed your changes.

Your personal profile

To access your personal profile, click on the avatar icon in the upper right of the platform screen. You'll be taken to a screen that looks like the following:

Your user profile is divided into three sections:

  • User Details: 
    Your name, email, phone, job title, and a profile picture can all be stored here. To change any detail, click Edit in the upper right of the User Details section. Note that changing your email address will require authentication.
  • Access: 
    You'll see your User Status and User Role here. 
  • Security Details:
    Your two-factor authentication (2FA) method is shown here. If you wish to change your 2FA method, click Change and follow the instructions found here.
