EMAIL THIS BLOG TO A FRIEND

There's some mystery swirling around the 2024 tax season. While the IRS works toward a new leadership structure and greater focus on modernization, a looming potential government shutdown could throw the season into chaos, hobbling the IRS. Unfamiliarity and uncertainty surrounding the Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting requirement under FinCEN’s Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) will place new burdens on small businesses. And there are still continuing taxpayer service issues to consider, as well.

To help you navigate these issues, as well as learn what you should be focusing your attention on as a tax practitioner going into this tax season, important dates to remember, and more, we spoke with Melanie Lauridsen, Vice President of Tax Policy & Advocacy at AICPA.

So pull up a chair, we're about to help make sure you're prepared for the upcoming tax season. And for more information about BOI, be sure to visit this thorough resource center provided by AICPA.*
