Our Add-On Services give you the flexibility to scale your bookkeeping capacity without needing to recruit, screen, train, manage logistics and setup of equipment, security and IT infrastructure as well as ensure competency in accounting, QBO, Xero, and Botkeeper. This allows you to meet client demands seamlessly.

  • Cost Efficiency: Hiring and training in-house staff can be costly and time-consuming. Our offshore dedicated bookkeepers offer a cost-effective alternative by providing expert services without the overhead of onsite employees.

• Do you support languages other than English?

  We appreciate the diversity of our customers, but Botkeeper operates exclusively in English. To ensure accuracy and efficiency, all communications and documents must be in English.

• Is there any service your bookkeepers WON'T provide?

  On-site or in-office services: 

  Our bookkeepers operate remotely and do not provide on-site or in-office services. All work is completed virtually to maintain flexibility and efficiency.

  • CFO services

    • Our bookkeepers will focus solely on bookkeeping and will not offer CFO-level financial analysis, strategic financial planning, or forecasting.

  • No Tax Preparation or Filing

    • Bookkeepers will manage transaction recording, but tax strategy, preparation, or filing should be handled by a CPA or tax specialist.

  • Limited Advisory Services

    • Bookkeepers can advise on best practices for bookkeeping but will not offer in-depth financial consulting or business strategy recommendations.

  • No Legal or Regulatory Compliance Work

    • Bookkeepers will ensure that the books are maintained accurately, but they won’t provide legal guidance or ensure compliance with specific industry regulations.

  • No Financial Audits

    • Bookkeepers can maintain records for audits but won’t conduct formal audits or assurance services.

  • No Payroll Processing:

    • While bookkeepers can assist in recording payroll transactions, full payroll management (e.g., calculating taxes or managing payroll systems) would fall outside their scope.

  • No Bill Pay:

    • Liability and access issues prevent us from working in bill.com.

    • We can APPLY payments, (i.e. payment matching), however.

  • Assistance with presentation preparation or financial reporting beyond bookkeeping:

    • Bookkeepers will provide clean, accurate financial data and reports (e.g., balance sheets, P&L statements). They cannot assist in preparing formal presentations, investor decks, or visual financial reports that require design work or executive summaries. Those tasks should be handled by a finance team or higher-level financial consultant.

      • No forecasting.

      • No budgeting.

      • No consolidated financial report.

      • No foreign currency conversion (that isn't out-of-the-box).

  • More than read-only access to a financial institution:

    • For liability reasons, our team cannot access your clients' bank account. 

• What if I want the bookkeeper to do something outside the agreement?

  If you'd like to train your dedicated bookkeeper on additional tasks, (much like hiring a new employee) you're welcome to do so, however, while we can guarantee a broad range of qualifications for tasks within our defined scope, we wouldn’t be able to guarantee the quality of work outside of that scope.

  Remember that the items listed under the FAQ “Is there any service your bookkeepers WON’T provide?” are not offered under any circumstances.

• What are the requirements for add-on services?

  In order to qualify for add-on services, you must be paying for at least 10 Botkeeper Infinite licenses.

• What if I have more clients than one bookkeeper can handle?

  You aren't required to add bookkeepers. However, if your dedicated bookkeeper becomes overwhelmed, you're welcome to expand your team by adding another bookkeeper or even building a larger team with us to ensure everything runs smoothly.

• Can you work in my firm's system instead of Botkeeper?

  Absolutely! While many firms leverage our platform for efficiency, we can also work within your existing systems and frameworks—functioning as if we were part of your in-house team.

• What level of communication can I expect?

  Our bookkeepers work closely with your firm, whether it’s through email, Slack, or other forms of communication. We aim to be as integrated as possible, offering the flexibility to align with how you manage your client relationships.

• Can I use your services without the Botkeeper platform?

  To unlock access to our services, you need to be paying for a minimum of 10 licenses on the Botkeeper platform. However, the extent to which you use the platform is up to you.

• What happens if my dedicated bookkeeper needs time off for vacation or sick days?

  Just like any employee, your dedicated bookkeeper will need time off. However, with our services, you still have access to additional support layers, including a dedicated Customer Success Specialist, live chat, ticketing, and our knowledge base. This ensures that your firm continues to run smoothly, even if your bookkeeper is temporarily unavailable.

• Can my dedicated bookkeeper work in my other software systems?

  Yes! However, you are solely responsible for supplying a paid license/seat for them, just as you would any employee.
